Why are we carrying out this project?
According to the basic principles of the Turkish National Education system, educational institutions are open to everyone regardless of language, religion, race, gender and disability, and the National Education Law ensures that equal opportunities are provided for everyone as men and women in education, and special measures are taken to raise children with special education needs and protection need.
On the other hand, in the 2023 Education Vision of the Ministry of National Education, it is emphasized that it is important to ensure that children with special educational needs are integrated with the society by receiving education in the same environment with their peers through mainstream / inclusive education, and studies will be carried out to improve the opportunities for mainstream/inclusive education in terms of special education. In this context, with BEGEP, it is aimed to create an integrated education model with the participation of all stakeholders who take an active role in inclusion studies in our country. In line with this goal, we are carrying out the BEGEP project to increase the quality of special education services, to raise awareness in mainstreaming / inclusive practices, and to strengthen cooperation between students, teachers, families and society.
