“Seminars on Role and Awareness in Inclusive Education” which started in Ankara on 22 June 2021 completed in Trabzon on 26 August 2021. In the seminars conducted for mainstream school managers and Guidance and Research Center (GRC) managers, it was aimed to combat prejudices in inclusion in education, to remove obstacles to inclusive education and to contribute to increasing the quality of special education services.
In the face-to-face seminars, the roles in the development of inclusive education, duties and responsibilities in removing barriers in inclusive education, and communication methods with the families of children with special needs were emphasized.
Seminars on Role and Awareness in Inclusive Education were held in Ankara, Adana, Balıkesir, Bursa, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, Istanbul, Izmir, Kahramanmaraş, Konya, Samsun and Trabzon. At the end of the thirty-five seminars organized, a total of 738 managers selected from the GRCs and mainstream schools in the 12 pilot provinces of the Project were contacted.
