The Fourth Steering Committee Meeting Was Held

2nd Steering Committee Meeting of the Development of Inclusive Education Project (BEGEP) was held online with the participation of General Manager of the Directorate General for Special Education and Guidance Services in the Ministry of National Education Mr. Mehmet Nezir Gül and Head of the Department of R&D and Projects Mr. Ebubekir Aydın on 20 August 2021.

The parties were informed about the progress achieved in the first 6 months and the studies planned to be completed during the meeting, which also included representatives of stakeholder Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) related to the issue.

The meeting started with the presentation of the project, which describes the studies planned to be carried out in the first 6 months of the project and in the future, and continued with the speech of Mehmet Nezir Gül, General Manager of the Directorate General for Special Education and Guidance Services.

Mr. Gül emphasized that the Ministry of National Education attributes great importance to BEGEP Project within the framework of inclusive education and mainstreaming policies. Noting that the studies with different stakeholders continue within the framework of the project, he drew attention to the importance of the work done both on the field and the desk studies in determining new policies.

In the following part of the meeting, representatives of NGOs that are the stakeholders of the project also presented their opinions and suggestions.
